Less than 40 miles away, Chester Zoo is worth the trip.  With its 15,000 animals in 125 acres of zoological gardens this makes a wonderful day out for the whole family.

At Park Hall Countryside Experience, just outside Oswestry, you are spoilt for choice. In addition to our Indoor and Outdoor Play, World War Trenches, Electric Cars and our adorable Animals, we also have an activity every 30 minutes!

Climbing the Walls, Climbing Centre, Shrewsbury, (11 mins. drive)
This state of the art, purpose built indoor climbing centre with Tall Walls, Bouldering, Action Walls and Café is the perfect activity centre for all ages and abilities. Experienced climbers can refine their skills on the lead walls and improve strength and core training on the Moonboard. New climbers of all ages can learn in a safe and fun environment on the Action Walls.  Facilities also include showers, function rooms and classes.  Booking advised to ensure the time slot you require.

Jump in Trampoline Park, Shrewsbury (11 mins. drive)
The trampoline park experience has taken the UK by storm and we now have one in Shrewsbury!  It’s the ideal way for kids and adults to let loose and have a fun, whilst at the same time being active. It’s not just for families!  Jump In also caters for children’s parties, holds fitness classes and much more!

Doodle Alley
Doodle Alley, in Whitchurch, is another superb indoor activity for all the family and comes highly recommended…….just another suggestion for a wet day where you can try out your art skills, painting pottery and canvasses.

Blists Hill
Blists Hill is one of 10 attractions, including 4 museums, based in and around Ironbridge.  Children (and adults!) get to experience an authentic recreation of a a Victorian town, complete with characters, cottages, shops and places to go..

Hawkstone Park Follies, (15 mins. drive) 
The follies are an historic woodland fantasy with cliffs, crags, caves, deep woods and a series of extraordinary monuments built over 200 years ago. After years of neglect the magical landscape was lovingly restored and reopened in 1993.
