Shrewsbury

Shropshire’s county town, just 6 miles away, is famous for its medieval buildings, including Shrewsbury Abbey. The river, with riverside walks, almost circles the town, which has good shopping facilities, museums and a castle.

Ironbridge

Just a short drive away, Ironbridge is home to the world’s first iron bridge designed and built by Thomas Telford, The World Heritage Site, comprising nine museums dedicated to the history of the Industrial Revolution. Also home to Blists Hill Victorian Town.
