BAILEYS HOT CHOCOLATE BUNDT CAKE
So Christmas Makes and Bakes all kicked off on the 2nd December when I did my first bake, a scrumptious, Baileys Hot Chocolate Bundt Cake, baked in my Pine Forest Bundt cake tin from a recipe I found on the internet and covered it in a fabulous chocolate fudge icing, also found on internet. I then decorated it with some Sugarcraft Santas, Holly and Christmas trees I found in The Icing Tip, a shop in the Shrewsbury Markethall. Brenda, the owner was an absolute gem and helped me so much as a “virgin” baker! Well to be honest not quite a virgin as I returned to baking after leaving it behind in the early 80’s when I discovered my family could have one slice of cake or one mince pie, whereas I………..well I just couldn’t. I did this bake for a Sunday afternoon get together with my church mid-week group to kick off the Christmas season.
I made this cake again for the final session of a ten week course at my church, Barnabas, in Shrewsbury. As it went down a treat on both occasions I am baking it again for Christmas for the family.
